Fluorescent Immunoassays for Detection and Quantification of Cardiac Troponin I: A Short Review

چکیده

Cardiovascular diseases are considered one of the major causes human death globally. Myocardial infarction (MI), characterized by a diminished flow blood to heart, presents highest rate morbidity and mortality among all other cardiovascular diseases. These fatal effects have triggered need for early diagnosis appropriate biomarkers so that countermeasures can be taken. Cardiac troponin, central key element muscle regulation contraction, is most specific biomarker cardiac injury “gold standard”. Due its high specificity, measurement troponin levels has become predominant indicator MI. Various forms diagnostic methods been developed far, including chemiluminescence, fluorescence immunoassay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, surface plasmon resonance, electrical detection, colorimetric protein assays. However, fluorescence-based immunoassays fast, accurate sensitive in determination troponins post-MI. This review represents strategies, detection involved reported I.

The interfering component in cardiac troponin I immunoassays.

serum proteins by ethanol. This may in part explain the quantitative changes in PE after ethanol precipitation compared with PE from serum or reptilase-treated plasma (Fig. 1D). Comparison of the 2/ ratios for serum, ethanol-treated plasma, and the protein pellet after ethanol precipitation, however, suggests changed electrophoretic mobilities of some proteins, possibly as a result of denaturat...

Negative interference in cardiac troponin I immunoassays by circulating troponin autoantibodies.

BACKGROUND There are numerous potential sources of interference in immunoassays. Our aim was to identify the blood component that causes negative interference in cardiac troponin I (cTnI) immunoassays based on antibodies against the central part of cTnI. METHODS We isolated an interfering factor (IF) from a sample with low recovery of added cTnI, using several consecutive purification steps: ...

Negative interference in cardiac troponin I immunoassays from a frequently occurring serum and plasma component.

BACKGROUND Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) is a sensitive marker of cardiac injury, but cTnI assays, like other immunoassays, are susceptible to interferences. We evaluated the presence of interfering substances by measuring the recovery of cTnI added to samples from volunteers and from patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS). METHODS We added a ternary complex of human cardiac troponin (30-50...

The interfering component in cardiac troponin I immunoassays: need for further experimental evidence.

To the Editor: I read with great interest the report by Eriksson et al. (1 ), discussing the existence of a frequently occurring blood component that interferes with immunoassays measuring cardiac troponin I (cTnI) by use of antibodies against epitopes in the central part of the molecule. As a main indicator of the assay accuracy, the authors studied the analytical recovery of a purified prepar...

An Aptamer-based Biosensor for Troponin I Detection in Diagnosis of Myocardial Infarction

Background: Acute myocardial infarction (MI) accounts for one third of deaths. Cardiac troponin I (TnI) is a reliable biomarker of cardiac muscle tissue injury and is employed in the early diagnosis of MI.Objectives: In this study, a molecular method is introduced to early diagnosis of MI by rapid detection of TnI.Materials and Methods: The detection method was based on electrochemical aptasens...
